Sad exit, but it's only his fourth roll (could be more, Twitter discussion going on) in 10 years of WRC! Jari-Matti Latvala does that in a single stage, if he's in a good mood.
Edit: Sorry about the title. Nobody died! Both Seb and Daniel are fine, they slid of in a fast corner and rolled out of the event. Title referred to the fact that this is their last WRC event.

You make it sound like he died.

Sorry, my title is a bit iffy, right? They're both okay.

I laughed so hard at the Latvala comment. It is so funny because it's true.

Not nagging, but I also read it as "only his fourth roll, but now he's dead hmmkay?" first. ;)
Glad they're good, then!

Yeah, good point, but it's a somewhat emotive thing for WRC today, he was in fight for the win in his final WRC outing and then went out like this.

That's damn impressive if you think about it. He's done, what, 1000 WRC rally stages? 1500? And he's only rolled it four times.

I've always loved when he lost. It felt like a win for the underdog whenever someone put in a better time, even if it was just on one stage. Never really been a fan of any dominating entity, also Solberg fan. But this just sucks. Terrible way to finish out an amazing career. Oh well, I think he'll be just as good in the WTCC. Plus, his new car is badass.

He won 900 stages, scored the 900th in this rally. Statistics are just unbelieveable.
